65 questions (100 marks) including 15 marks General Aptitude. MCQ + MSQ + NAT (numerical answer type) questions. 3 hours.
About GATE
National exam for admission to postgraduate engineering/science programmes (M.Tech, M.S., Ph.D.) at IITs, NITs, and IISc. GATE score also used by PSUs (BHEL, GAIL, NTPC, ONGC, etc.) for direct recruitment. Valid for 3 years.
